How does this work?<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe switch box kit consists of:
\n– BNC Switch box
\n– Three BNC cables
\n– Two Light Head Hangers
\nOne BNC cable connects the SFA gooseneck lamp base to the input connector on the rear of the Switch Box. The other two cables connect the Switch Box outputs to the two light heads. Use the selector switch on the front of the Switch Box to select between the two light heads. The Light Head Hangers mount your light heads on the SFA adapter ring on the microscope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

(Note \u2013 Light heads not included with kit. Any of the BNC light heads can be used with the kit.)
\nThe Light Head Hangers mount to the end of any of the thumbscrews on the SFA adapter ring. They are available in long and short pivot arm versions for use with long and short working distance microscopes.
\n– Long working distance (LWD) \u2013 6.3 cm (2.5 in.) and greater
\n– Short working distance (SWD) \u2013 6.3 \u2013 4.6 cm. (2.5 \u2013 1.8 in.)
\nNote that the Switch Box Kit is available only for SFA systems that use the BNC light head connector, and not the older V1 connector.<\/a><\/p>\n

What is the benefit?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This accessory simplifies the process of switching between excitation wavelengths. You can have two different excitation sources mounted simultaneously and select between them with the flip of the selector switch.
