It is intended as a replacement or as an additional stage adapter; this is useful if special sample holders are used and the stage adapter is mounted on the holder. It consists of three parts:<br \/>\nstage adapter insert with female M6 thread<br \/>\nstage adapter pillar with male M6 threaded (adjustable height)<br \/>\naluminium M6 locking ring.<br \/>\nEach of these parts is fully compatible with the existing Hitachi stage adapter for the TM series. Included is an M4 screw on top of pillar to attach the Hitachi M4 stubs or M4 threaded sample holders.
